Forget the paper and ink
The Regina Library has just added a whole new dimension to the printing of 2016.
Regina Public Library now provides the use of 3D printers for membership card holders.
The printer can be used to make physical objects based on the model created on the computer.
Anyone who completes a mandatory training course is free to design the project and submit it to the employee for printing.
The cost per gram is 10 cents, determined by the weight of the final object.
There are some restrictions on what can be printed, including the absence of illegal, dangerous or obscene items.
Copyright or patent items are also not restricted.
The children can also use the printer, but anyone under the age of 15 needs permission from their parents.
