ABS prototyping is one of the most common prototypes, accounting for about 75% of the total amount of plastic prototype. Below are some reasons.
1. It is easily machined, sanded, glued and painted.
2. It can be sprayed with metal, electroplated, and welded.
3. It has the advantages of impact, corrosion, low-temperature, sound insulation, scratch, and heat resistance.
4. It has comprehensive mechanical properties of excellent plastic varieties with good rigidity, hardness, and processing fluidity.
5. It's a great engineering plastic material with high strength.
At Tuowei, we adopt several high-performance Fused Deposition Molding (FDM) 3D printers for the majority of ABS prototypes by utilizing 3-axis/4-axis/5-axis CNC machines. The surface of these prototypes can be painted with colors, applied with UV oil, polished, and electroplated. Dimension tolerance is +-0.03mm to +- 0.1mm.
