Several years ago, we made a rapid prototype about wheel hub, because the wheels need sustain huge weith, so we choose the PC plstic which with much more strong property. prototype was made by CNC Milling, the involved surface finishing including Polishing, Painting, the logo was sticked on the prototype.

CNC machining: input the 3d drawings into Computer Numerical Control center and implement the command, cnc machine will start work and the cutter will move on according to the tooling path.
Polishing: there are some burrs and rough parts on the prototype after cnc machined, it needs to be hand-deburred by sand paper.
Painting: spraying the prototype with any color which the client required.
High gloss:The part will be painted UV premier paint, Then put in uv machine, lighted by UV light to make the surface turned to be harder and shinny, and will be protected from scuffing.

CNC turning is a rapid prototyping manufacturing process in which bars of material are held in a chuck and rotated while a tool is fed to the piece to remove material to create the desired shape. A turret, with tooling attached, is programmed to move to the bar of raw material and remove material to create the programmed result. This is also called “subtraction machining” since it involves material removal. If the CNC turning center has both tuning and milling capabilities, such as the one above, the rotation can be stopped to allow for milling out of other shapes. During the CNC turning process, a metal rod is rotated while a cutting tool is held against the stock to remove material and create final parts.
