Project Details:

MIDEA is one of China’s Largest providers of Appliance manufacturing industry including air conditioner, washing machine, smart cooking pot and soybean milk machine etc.they worked with Tuowei to make a prototype for air conditioner shell for the first time, so they choose us to make another project due to the air conditioner quality is supper good.The purpose of they make the prototype is want to test if the material is suitable for ths cooking pot, and if it can works well in this design.

How the parts/components were made:

Since the cooking pot should be used to cook, polycarbonate is the best material for body of cooker, it was cnc machined in two separate halves from a solid block of PC plastic, which is lightweight, strong and high temperature resistance. Once machined, the halves were cut free from the base substrate and glued together. The now single body was carefully hand sanded to remove any parting line, then given a coat of primer to seal the surface. Later it was painted to provide the soft touch feel.

The inner tank and cap were made of stainless steel, which is stronger and very high temperature resistance, after cnc machined, we polishing the surface make it with high shinny look.

The prototype outside surface were silk-screened with green,red and gray color and then additionally silk-screened to 100% opaque on those areas.
