1  Vaccum casting is a kind of technique of making prototype.It is to make silicone molds in a quick and cheaper way with mother patterns made from CNC or SLA prototype parts. Its material is Polyurethane.Each silicone mold can copy 15 to 25 pcs the same parts of the mother pattern.This process way is suitable for low volume production.

 

2. The processing steps of score indicator is :

Firstly,make a prototype by 3D printing ,and then make a silicone mold with the pattern.Finally,use the silicone mold to volume duplicate the parts.Below is the specific procedures:

Step 1: Make the mother pattern by CNC, SLA or clay figurine and make the nozzles.

Step 2: Surround the prototypes by boards and prepare for making molds.

Step 3: Pour the vacuum liquid silicone into the mold to cover the product.

Step 4: Bake the silicone mold in the oven to accelerate the curing of the mold.

Step 5: Get the prototype out of the mold

 

 

Some points of vacuum casting need to pay attention to,
 
Silicone and curing agent should stir together to mix well. The appearance of mold silicone is flowing liquid.A component is silicone, B component is curing agent.For example, take 100 grams of silicone, add 2 grams of curing agent (note: silicone and curing agent must stir well, if there is no uniform mixing, the mold will appear uneven drying curing condition ,which will affect the life cycle of the mold and production capacity, and even cause the scrap of mold.
