One printer can scan, fax and print but onein-
A 3D printer is a horse of another color.
New Da Vinci 1 printed by XYZ. 0 and 2.
The 1 AiO 3D printer allows you to scan and print 3D objects from one machine.
We looked at these new devices at Computex 2014 and were interested in da vinc\'s commitment.
All concepts-in-
A 3D printer is not new. -
Many Kickstarter projects have come up with this idea, such as Zeus all-in-
A 3D printer is a professional solution for $2,499.
What makes these new models different?
The price is $1, laser sensing technology, and the equipment they are ready to ship.
MORE: Best 3D printer 204xyz Printing is able to get the device ready so quickly as the company builds on existing models and just adds new laser sensors and rotations to the platform of the device
The company told us that its laser sensor is unique in the industry due to diagonal placement, which allows it to get a more complete scan and reduce parallax errors.
When one sensor is placed on the top and the other on the bottom of the front, the sensor can see the object from an odd angle.
This means that the printer does not have to rely on software finishing to fill the space.
We watched two red lasers on the da Vinci 1.
AiO scanned a small sculpture of the Mona Lisa and entered this information into the computer connected to the printer.
The company told us it would take 1 to 5 minutes to finish scanning a small fist
The size of the sculpture, the user can choose the time spent scanning.
The longer the object is scanned, the more complete the result is.
After the scan is complete, you must remove the reference object, click print on the companion program on the computer, and the software will add some finishing touches to ensure that the model is watertight.
The printing board goes down from the top and Da Vinci will start printing.
The two new AiO models announced at Computex this year are actually updates to existing models. 0 and 2. 1 versions. The 1.
0 is a more basic version that retails for $499 while 2. 1 ($849)
Is a stand-alone solution with Wi-
Fi feature, which you can print from anywhere in your home or office.
XYZ printing tells us that the AiO model is several hundred dollars more expensive than their predecessors, which means you may get the da Vinci 1.
Pay 0 AiO at about $799 by the end of the year.
