Italian experts used a mixture of laser scanning, 3D printers and nylon and marble dust to repair the ancient funeral bust image of the nobles destroyed by the Islamic State in Palmyra.
It was one of two crematorium items discovered in the second or third centuries from the ancient city of Syria after being liberated from jihadist hands last year.
After Isis used explosives as the background of the killing, it destroyed the Roman temple on the site with explosives.
Shortly before Isis returned to retake the city on December, Syrian officials retrieved a broken bu image of men and women from the floor of the Palmyra crash Museum and collected debris, part of the Roman theater was blown up this time.
